Centennial, CO (September 23, 2005) Fusion Microsystems, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of custom computing solutions, today announced that 1% of the day's gross sales will be donated to Hurricane Katrina disaster relief. A campaign promoting the fund raising event, urged Fusion customers to place their orders today to maximize relief fund raising efforts.
"All of us here at Fusion Microsystems are deeply saddened by the disaster that recently devastated New Orleans, Mississippi, Alabama, and the rest of the Gulf Coast area. Our hearts go out to the hundreds of thousands of people affected by this terrible tragedy," commented Paul Ramirez, CEO of Fusion Microsystems. Mr. Ramirez went on to say, "We encourage other businesses to participate in cause related purchasing, especially now during our country's time of need. Even 1% makes a difference."
Continuing a Fusion tradition of community service, Fusion Microsystems employees actively support the Katrina survivors and their families by volunteering and donating to the Red Cross, United Way, and CNN Katrina Help Center.
